It is a cutting-edge discipline in scientific research and technology application of microelectronics in the field of information. It is characterized by the design and integration of microelectronics, information and communication systems and the integration of computer applications. It aims to cultivate high-level comprehensive talents who can master the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills in the field of microelectronics science and technology.  Meanwhile, they should be able to engage in scientific research, technology development, management and teaching in microelectronics, semiconductor devices and integrated circuits, information and communication systems and ASIC implementation, computer technology and application and other related fields. This major focuses on the research, development and application of microelectronics science and technology related to the communication and information industry. Graduates can be employed in the ICT industry and its application of electronic technology industry. Students who wish to further study may pursue master's and doctor's programs in electronic science and technology, information and communication engineering, etc.

This major systematically studies mathematics, physics, basic courses of computer, solid state physics and semiconductor physics, circuit analysis foundation, electronic circuit foundation, digital system and logic design, signal and system, communication principle, digital signal processing, semiconductor devices and electronics, principle of VLSI and EDA technology, ASIC design, embedded system design, optoelectronic device and integration technology, computer network and communication, communication electronic circuit, etc.

This major sets up electronic skills practice, computer practice, professional practice, curriculum design, graduation design and other practical teaching links.

The duration of study in this major is four years. Students will be awarded the Bachelor of Engineering Degree after completing all courses stipulated in the training plan and passing the examination.
